2020 Bunny Gate Red Blend

At 76% of the blend, Montepulciano is the core of this wine. Deeply colored and flavorful with silky tannins, it is delicious on its own, even before blending. The Sagrantino and Fresia, in supporting roles, bring a little grip on the palate and strawberry notes to the aromas. Although the blend is rich in fruit, it comes in at just 12.7% alcohol, which means it is surprisingly light. It has notes of plum, chocolate, vanilla, and black cherry, with notes of strawberry and other red fruits on the nose. The mouthfeel is plush but not heavy and the flavors are lingering. It would go admirably with a slow-cooked beef or pork stew.

Continuing the look and feel of our Postcards from the Ranch series, this packaging is inspired by a special spot at McEvoy Ranch, The Bunny Gate, a welcoming gateway accompanied by a bronze bunny statue at the entrance to the Ranch.
